Thanks t0 the 20 or so folks who attended the June 14 FMPUG-MN meeting on Layout Design. The questions, comments, discussion and feedback were outstanding! Well done, everyone!
As promised, please find attached the demo file I used to guide our time together. I have tweaked the file to make it more accessible for those who were not able to attend, but there are a few things for which you just had to be there! Either way, I hope the file will be useful enough to become a “keeper” that you will regularly reference.
For anyone who wants to go through the full process using the grid-based design techniques, dig deeper into some of the best practices gleaned from the FMCraft seminar and participate in full day’s worth of layout design training, I am conducting a “Layout Design Intensive” course on July 26. You can find more information about the “Intensive” series on the Surefoot training page.
Reminder that our next meeting will be a roundup of the “Best of DevCon” and will feature presentations and discussion from FMPUG-MN members who attended. I think we’ve got about 10 members heading to Miami Beach from July 16-19 for DevCon 2012!
All the best,
Jim Medema, Surefoot Database Consulting and Co-founder of FMPUG-MN
